RadheShyam Review - Classical one

Can love win over destiny? Was it our love that caused this destruction? Can the same love which can sparkle life, take a life? These are the questions that was asked by 'Vikramaditya' alias Prabhas in RadheShyam trailer. After he left without giving answers for these questions, The palmist vikramaditya is back to big screens. But he didn't came alone, He came up with a classic love story! That's also starring pooja hegde and also some well known artists. This is directed by Radha krishna kumar and produced by uv creations,Gopi krishna movies and Tseries. So, let's see whether we got those answers with this love story!!

Story -

This film is set in 1970's Italy backdrop.Vikramaditya is renowned palmist who can predict our lives from birth to death. He doesn't not believe in love. So,he chooses flirtationship rather than relationship. Vikramaditya meets prerna, after some incidents, they both fell in love. Knowing his future vikramaditya goes to London. What's he know about his future? Will they succeed in their love by overcoming they destiny? That forms the rest of the story.

Thumbs ups -

After so many years, Rebel star prabhas is came up in a lover boy role in radheshyam  and he lives up in vikramaditya role. He acted with so much of perfection. His body language, costumes suited really well.

Pooja hegde as 'prerna'. When compared to her previous roles, pooja hegde has gave great performance in this movie. May be it is her career best role.

Other well known actors jagapathi babu, sachin kadrekar, Baghyasree are decent in their respective roles.

Locations, art by Ravindar and manoj paramahamsa's cinematography, Never seen visuals in Indian cinema are major highlights of the film. And the train and ship sequences came well.

Last but not least, music by justin is good. Songs are souls for love stories, and it applies here too.

Thumbs down -

As it is an out and out love Story, mass audience may feel that, this is running in slow pace. Even having a mighty man in vikramaditya role, the director didn't wrote any fight scenes for him. It will disappoint some prabhas fans and audiences.

Even actors like murali sharma and priyadarshi acted well, they didn't get scope in their roles.

Story is predictable for some extent. Director Radha failed to create suspence in some scenes.

Technical aspects -

Firstly, kudos to uv creations for their production values and those visuals take you to another beautiful world. Manoj showcased 70's Italy in a beautiful way.

Background score of thaman is excellent, as it elevated so many scenes and leaves you in chills.

Director radha krishna kumar has done a decent job as he managed to give a convincing end for the story line.

The artwork, European sets are really good. Never seen VFX in Indian cinema and also in ship sequence too. Action director Nick Powell also done a decent job for ship scenes.

Verdict -

At the end of the day, Film was carried by Prabhas and by those breathtaking visuals and grandeur. While going to cinema, keep in mind that it is a classic movie with zero vulgarity and with zero fights. If you go with normal Expectations, you will connect to the story and enjoys it.

Rating - 2/5
