Thumbs Ups -
Varuntej did a great job as a boxer and he acted well. He carried emotions as usual in the movie. His transformation as a boxer is great and it suits him.
Saiee manjrekar impresses with her debut. Her dialogue delivery and Screen presence are perfect. Nadiya as Gani's mother performed well.
Other big actors like Sunil Shetty as the coach, Upendra as a father and jagapathi babu as the main villain performed well.
The second half of the movie is where we can witness some emotions and drama. The climax portion is good. The boxing sets are also good compared to the previous boxing related movies.
Thumbs down -
The first half of the movie is the first drawback, as It slowly keeps on going without any engaging points. And the love track is not handled well.
The second drawback is the routine story. It's the same old wine and nothing new in it. We can predict the scenes from beginning to end.
Technical Aspects -
Even though the director took the same routine story, he narrated the second half well. The result of the film would be different if he handled the first half well. The production values of the film are very good. Boxing sets are also great. The cinematography is also good and the boxing scenes are captured well. Thaman's background score is the key asset of the film.
Verdict -
In the end, it's a routine sports drama with zero changes and too many predictable scenes. If you are a sports lover, you can watch it and for others, it will be an okayish watch.
Rating - 2.75/5
