Prakash Raj, Revathi, Murali Sharma, and Sobitha dhulipala in other supporting roles. It is directed by Sashi Kiran tikka and bankrolled by Sony pictures films India, GMB Entertainment and A+S movies. Major received so much response from the very beginning and after the trailer is released, the real hype is added. So, let's see whether the 2 long years wait is worth it or not.
Major

Story -
Major the film is all about the hero of the 26/11 Mumbai attack, Sandeep Unni Krishnan. Despite not showing only the Mumbai attacks, The director also showed Sandeep's life from his childhood to his last breath.
Thumbs ups -
Adivi Sesh as "Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan" delivered his career-best performance. Sesh himself wrote the story and screenplay for this movie and he mainly focused on emotions. From the young boy to the soldier, sesh showcased the changes nicely in his character. Unlike the other movies of sesh, this film has more action scenes and it is a delight to watch him on screen in major Sandeep's role.

Saiee manjrekar is good in her role. Unlike her previous roles, she got a meaty role in this movie and she neatly utilised it. The chemistry between the lead pairs is showcased beautifully. Prakash Raj and Revathi as Sandeep's parents delivered amazing performances. Especially Prakash raj's speech left the audience in sadness and their roles brought so much emotional depth to the film. The second half is racy and engaging, which leaves the audience high.
Sandeep unnikrishnan

Thumbs down -
The first 20minutes of the film are slow. Major Sandeep's story is known to many but for the first-timers also some scenes are predictable. It could have been better if more chemistry is added in between the leads. In previous soldier movies like shershah, the songs also played a good role in making the audience connect to the movie and it's lacking in major even though the movie is good enough.

Technical Aspects -
Production and design are good and sets are top-notch. The camera work by Vamsi is solid. Dialogues are good and so were the lyrics. Music by sricharan is good but not great. The director sushi Kiran Tikka is done a great job in bringing the biopic of major Sandeep Unnikrishnan and he sticked to the emotions which played a crucial role in this film.
Verdict -
Finally, Major the film is a bit commercial and more patriotic movie, which leaves the audience in sadness and pride. Adivi sesh one-man show and he handled everything with ease. A good movie for this weekend. Go and grab your tickets and it is worth the wait, watch and every single penny.
Rating - 3.5/5
