After surpassing all the hurdles, Nikhil starrer Karthikeya 2 is final here in front of audience. It is a supernatural thriller film written and directed by chandu mondeti and bankrolled by people's media factory and abhishek agarwal arts. It is also starring anupama parameswaran and anupam kher. Cinematography and editing by karthik ghattamaneni. So, let's see it's worth watching or not. 
Story -
Karthikeya(Nikhil) is a doctor and also a guy who always goes against superstitions, goes to dwaraka along with his mother. On the flip side, some people from a society and their goons tries to own one of the ornament of Lord krishna. A tribe called abeerulu always protects krishna's things. How they're all connected? How karthikeya and muktha(Anumpama) meet? How karthikeya is involved in this? To know his adventurous journey you need to watch the film in theatres.
What's good -
First of all, the animation part in the film which shows the backstory of the krishna's ornament is beautifully designed and well presented. Second is, the way they introducing new things keeps the audience engaged from start to end. Compared to the first part, the budget of the film is high. Apart from the story, we can see the amount they spent in this movie on big screen. The visuals are super rich and production values are too good. In addition to these elements, music is an added advantage.
Coming to performances, Actor nikhil siddhartha carried this whole movie solely on his shoulders and he performed exceptional well when compared to the first part. We can say ' IMPROVED'. Anupama parameswaran as muktha is good and performed nicely.
Director chandoo not only penned a thriller but also added comedy scenes involving srinivas reddy and Viva harsha and it is worked out well. We can laugh hearthfully for their comedy parts in between the thrills and they delivered good performance. It worked as a good factor for the movie. After long time srinivas reddy got a full length role and he used it perfectly.
Anupam kher's part is short but it elevates the whole movie to next level. His acting and the dialogues are too good.
Kaala bhairava's music elevates every part of the movie.
Director chandoo made a brave attempt and he succeeded in presenting that. Even the story is simple he gets applause for the execution and presentation. The he connects the all ends is appreciable. Cinematography by karthik is too good and his visuals, colours are beautiful.
Fight scenes are good. Especially the one in krishna thataakam definitely impresses the audience.
Negatives -
The normal audience may feel confused about the story of ornament. Director should have added few more scenes to present the details of ornament.
Villain character is too weak. May be If the villian character is strong, we could've got even more strong climax.
Verdict -
On the whole, karthikeya 2 is a neatly made supernatural thriller film which has all the elements equally. Baring the few confusions, the film is truly enjoyable. Experience it in theaters only.
Is it worth watching - yes, it is.
